Research Description:

My research involves utilizing existing machine learning models and modifying them to make them better suited for particular problems that are significant from a biological standpoint. I have developed both hand-crafted features and automated feature extraction pipelines for improved representation learning. Currently, I am trying to identify potential gaps in the existing literature related to variant-effect identification. I will attempt to address those gaps by designing deep learning architectures that take specific priors into account for improved descriptor extraction.
